Publish Webhook Outgoing IPs as a Machine-Readable Plain-Text Endpoint

Martinho Dias

Currently, AfterShip's webhook outgoing IP list is only available on an HTML documentation page (https://www.aftership.com/docs/tracking/webhook/webhook-outgoing-ips). This makes it impossible to automate IP allowlist management in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) workflows.   Problem: Teams that use IP-based firewalls to secure their webhook endpoints must manually monitor the documentation page for any IP changes and update their firewall rules accordingly. If a change is missed, it can cause webhook delivery failures and broken integrations.   Request: Please publish the webhook outgoing IP list as a dedicated plain-text endpoint — similar to how Cloudflare publishes theirs at https://www.cloudflare.com/ips-v4 — where each IP is returned on a separate line.   This would allow teams to: * Fetch the IP list programmatically as part of their CI/CD or IaC pipelines * Keep firewall allowlists automatically in sync without manual intervention * Avoid service disruptions caused by missed IP changes This is a standard practice among major API providers and would significantly improve the developer experience for customers who manage network security programmatically.

How can AfterShip improve the shipping experience for customers purchasing hair extensions or hair care products, ensuring real-time tracking updates and timely delivery?

To enhance the shipping experience for customers purchasing hair extensions or hair care products, AfterShip could focus on providing real-time tracking updates that are both detailed and easy to understand. For the hair industry, ensuring timely delivery is critical, as customers expect to receive their products in a timely manner, especially for events like weddings, parties, or other special occasions. Additionally, offering automated notifications at each stage of the shipping process — from dispatch to in-transit updates and delivery confirmation — would allow customers to stay informed and reduce anxiety around the arrival of their products. A specific feature that would be beneficial in the hair industry is providing an estimated delivery window based on the type of hair products purchased, considering how delicate and time-sensitive hair products can be. Another improvement could be offering customized delivery options, like express shipping for urgent orders or delivery tracking tailored to customers’ needs based on their location, enhancing convenience and customer experience. By integrating these features, AfterShip could help ensure a seamless experience for customers in the hair industry, driving satisfaction and repeat business.

Login based / ship from views

Would you be able to: 1. Add a functionality that restricts order views based on a ship from location or/or login? We have multiple ship from locations and we are 100% manula orders; it creates confusion when one warehouse sees orders from another warehouse.  2. Have a ship to address book and have that be varied based on ship from locations. We have set ship to locations and it doesnt change often.

Alert message to let a user know when the same email domain is used in an existing organization

Jason Ma
February 4, 2025 at 3:30 pm
Background: * At the moment, a user with a specific domain can easily create a new organization when creating an account in AfterShip * We don’t indicate to this use that an existing organization is already linked to the same domain This can create confusion when member are trying to get access to an organization proactively (without being added by the current owner) * Hence we end up with support tickets from member not able to get access to their main org. Expectation: * Alert message during new inscription if we identify that the email domain is already used. * Eventually an option to send a request to the owner of the main org. * Possibility to delete the new account to avoid unnecessary org and member creations for our clients. * Could be active only for ENT client if we want to reduce the scope

Email Updates Box - Complaints from Customers

Victoria Lomax
October 30, 2026 at 10:21 am
Hi,   We have AfterShip built into our BigCommerce store by default. I'm not sure who to reach out to, so I would appreciate if you could please direct this to the appropriate department for me. We have received several customer complaints that when they check their shipment tracking information, they are finding the information in the orange box in the attachment misleading. Basically, where there is an option to enter your email address for delivery updates, next to it, it shows examples such as out for delivery, delivered. A lot of customers have seen this and genuinely thought that is the tracking information. More so on mobile devices, where the screen is smaller, so unless they scroll, the actual tracking is not visible. They’ve then contacted us, as their order has not been delivered and then complained that the information is confusing. Is it possible to redesign this to ensure it’s less misleading, even if it's just really boring and is a box to enter the email?   I appreciate you taking the time to consider this. Happy to assist if you need any further information. Kind regards, Vicky
