deduplicate (fedex) shipments

David Goldstein
October 11, 2026 at 1:40 am
I have an online store I frequently order from, and for whatever reason I often (... or perhaps always? haven't double checked) end up with duplicates of my order tracked in the Aftership app.  From inspecting the latest such occurrence, this seems to be because the tracking number the seller gets and shares with me in their emails differs from the tracking numbers in my Fedex Delivery Manager notifications.  However, the tracking numbers clearly lead to information about the same package, so ideally the app would be smart enough to realize that and deduplicate them.

Email Updates Box - Complaints from Customers

Victoria Lomax
October 30, 2026 at 10:21 am
Hi,   We have AfterShip built into our BigCommerce store by default. I'm not sure who to reach out to, so I would appreciate if you could please direct this to the appropriate department for me. We have received several customer complaints that when they check their shipment tracking information, they are finding the information in the orange box in the attachment misleading. Basically, where there is an option to enter your email address for delivery updates, next to it, it shows examples such as out for delivery, delivered. A lot of customers have seen this and genuinely thought that is the tracking information. More so on mobile devices, where the screen is smaller, so unless they scroll, the actual tracking is not visible. They’ve then contacted us, as their order has not been delivered and then complained that the information is confusing. Is it possible to redesign this to ensure it’s less misleading, even if it's just really boring and is a box to enter the email?   I appreciate you taking the time to consider this. Happy to assist if you need any further information. Kind regards, Vicky

access to Orders in the AfterShip MCP connector (Claude)

Audrey Tomba
November 3, 2026 at 12:59 pm
Hello AfterShip team, We use the AfterShip Post-Purchase connector in Claude to automate our daily delivery follow-up, and it works very well for shipments. However, the connector currently only exposes shipments (trackings) and returns. Orders without a tracking number are not accessible, although they are visible in the AfterShip admin under Tracking > Orders. Our use case: every morning we want to detect orders that are still "Unfulfilled" (or "Partially fulfilled") more than 2 business days after the order date, and that have no tracking yet, so we can follow up with our suppliers. Could you add the following to the MCP connector? 1. A list_orders tool with filters on fulfillment status (unfulfilled, partially fulfilled), order status (open / canceled), order date (placed_at) and order number. 2. For each order: fulfillments with their trackings (to know whether a tracking exists), line items, customer, tags and order notes. 3. Access to the internal comments added on an order (the "Comments" section of the order page), so we can exclude orders already handled by our team. 4. If possible, order-level custom fields (e.g. our "isBackorder" flag, which today only exists on shipments). Is this on your roadmap? In the meantime, is there another supported way (API endpoint, scheduled export or webhook) to get this list of unfulfilled orders automatically? Thank you for your help.

Support setting the total number of emails that can be sent by each contact within a certain period of time (frequency), including flows and newsletters.   I aim to reduce interruptions for my customers while still capturing important messages, which is why I am seeking more flexibility in the configurations.

Hi, I hope you can include a column where users can also see "WHEN" the order arrived in customs clearance and "WHEN" it was released. I am referring to ALL orders, not just the delayed orders.

Tracking dynamic updates for Emails

Sophia Anderson
March 8, 2024 at 3:29 pm
I guess for shipping emails sent out to my customers, it would be nice to have dynamic info that updates as the package progresses through the network. I also want all my existing emails to stay current.   The reason is simply that I wanna give my customers a unified experience by delivering consistent messages to them. I believe this will help with my customer satisfaction.

Add Walmart Seller MCF as a Feed Connection

Megan Bailey
March 20, 2026 at 3:17 pm
Hello,  We currently use AfterShip Feed to connect our Amazon Seller account to TikTok Shop. But it would be fantastic to be able to also connect with Walmart Seller's MCF. It would allow even greater reach of products on more sales channels.

How can AfterShip improve the shipping experience for customers purchasing hair extensions or hair care products, ensuring real-time tracking updates and timely delivery?

To enhance the shipping experience for customers purchasing hair extensions or hair care products, AfterShip could focus on providing real-time tracking updates that are both detailed and easy to understand. For the hair industry, ensuring timely delivery is critical, as customers expect to receive their products in a timely manner, especially for events like weddings, parties, or other special occasions. Additionally, offering automated notifications at each stage of the shipping process — from dispatch to in-transit updates and delivery confirmation — would allow customers to stay informed and reduce anxiety around the arrival of their products. A specific feature that would be beneficial in the hair industry is providing an estimated delivery window based on the type of hair products purchased, considering how delicate and time-sensitive hair products can be. Another improvement could be offering customized delivery options, like express shipping for urgent orders or delivery tracking tailored to customers’ needs based on their location, enhancing convenience and customer experience. By integrating these features, AfterShip could help ensure a seamless experience for customers in the hair industry, driving satisfaction and repeat business.
