Preview and Explanation of Merchandising Strategies

Amelia Robinson
July 15, 2024 at 11:13 pm
While using personalization, I want to understand the actual product results generated by these algorithms and the reason behind the chosen product displays for shoppers.   If I can preview the recommendation results in the admin, it would reduce uncertainty, ensure optimal outcomes, and improve my marketing strategies to boost conversions.

Create a flow for Weather Holds on wine

Sarah Swindell
March 13, 2025 at 8:32 pm
Hi there, We ship wine, which means orders are often held by our fulfilment center when temperatures along the route are above or below certian threshold we have set. I would like to create a flow that automatically notifies the customer that their order has been flagged for a weather hold and ensures them it is still on the way. Is this possible? Thanks

Feature Request: Add "GLS Canada" to Enhanced MPS Visibility Supported List

Hieu Huynh
January 22, 2026 at 9:41 am
1. What is the context?  * We are currently a Premium plan subscriber operating a high-volume merchant shipping 68% of our Canadian orders via GLS Canada. We are looking to utilize the Enhanced MPS Visibility feature to improve our customer experience.   * Currently, your documentation lists carriers like FedEx, UPS, and DHL as supported for MPS, but GLS Canada is excluded. When we contacted support, we were told this is due to "carrier limitations.   2. What issue do you want to address? We believe the "carrier limitation" rationale may be outdated or incorrect because AfterShip is already successfully pulling data for GLS child packages. * Evidence: On GLS Canada tracking number P97186751, AfterShip retrieves events for both Package 1 (Delivered Nov 21) and Package 2 (Delivered Nov 19). * The Problem: Because GLS Canada is not on your "Supported Carriers" list for MPS logic, your system aggregates these distinct events into a single "scrambled" timeline instead of separating them into tabs. * The Gap: The data exists in your system; the parsing logic to separate "Master" vs. "Child" is simply missing for this specific carrier. 3. What outcome do you expect? * We request that the product team add GLS Canada to the Enhanced MPS Visibility supported carrier list * We need the system to recognize the child packages it is already detecting and display them in separate tabs (Piece 1, Piece 2), just as it does for FedEx or UPS.   4. Who will benefit from your idea? * Merchants: This allows Canadian merchants to use your Enterprise MPS features for their dominant carrier, reducing support tickets regarding "confusing" status updates. * AfterShip: It improves the value of your Enterprise plan for the Canadian market by supporting the region's major logistics provider.

Configurable "item not found image" with Returns Portal item selection for items that dont have image URL

Jason Ma
February 3, 2025 at 10:07 pm
Like to set their own “Image not found” image for Products in the Returns Portal. That way, If a Product is not sent to AfterShip with an Image URL, they have an image that looks more branded.   Today, when an item does have an img url, the Return Portal defaults to the missing image icon.   Request - have a function within Return Portal where if any items on my return portal dont have an image URL, it can set to a image that I select instead of defaulting to the standard broken/no image icon.

Tracking dynamic updates for Emails

Sophia Anderson
March 8, 2024 at 3:29 pm
I guess for shipping emails sent out to my customers, it would be nice to have dynamic info that updates as the package progresses through the network. I also want all my existing emails to stay current.   The reason is simply that I wanna give my customers a unified experience by delivering consistent messages to them. I believe this will help with my customer satisfaction.

Customized returns notifications

Shane Fernandes
October 30, 2024 at 6:00 am
The current capability features a static returns approval notification. There are instances where the approval notification should be customized before being sent to the customer. Currently, the only way of doing this is to change the approval notification for all returns, save, go back to the RMA in question, approve it with the new notification, make sure no other returns are approved, go back to the nofication and amend it to how it was prior and save.   Use case: there may be a specific product that is available for exchange in store, this needs to be checked with the store first so cannot be a hard rule. If the approval notification could be amended on an adhoc basis, you could give the customer the option at the point of approval and avoid back and forth via email.

Email Updates Box - Complaints from Customers

Victoria Lomax
October 30, 2026 at 10:21 am
Hi,   We have AfterShip built into our BigCommerce store by default. I'm not sure who to reach out to, so I would appreciate if you could please direct this to the appropriate department for me. We have received several customer complaints that when they check their shipment tracking information, they are finding the information in the orange box in the attachment misleading. Basically, where there is an option to enter your email address for delivery updates, next to it, it shows examples such as out for delivery, delivered. A lot of customers have seen this and genuinely thought that is the tracking information. More so on mobile devices, where the screen is smaller, so unless they scroll, the actual tracking is not visible. They’ve then contacted us, as their order has not been delivered and then complained that the information is confusing. Is it possible to redesign this to ensure it’s less misleading, even if it's just really boring and is a box to enter the email?   I appreciate you taking the time to consider this. Happy to assist if you need any further information. Kind regards, Vicky
