Aftership returns showing resolved after refunded in Shopify

July 28, 2026 at 7:07 pm
In our business we refund direcly in Shopify for our returns that are made from our online website. It would be nice if the status of Shopify shows refunded or partically refund that Aftership would show the return as resolved. Some of the tracking information has to be put in manaully and we have multiple people on our team and if they do not do it correctly our customers receive emails that their return was not send and is expiring when they have already been refunded.

Claude integration

Title: Feature request: Claude MCP connector for AfterShip Returns AfterShip Returns should offer an official Claude MCP connector. Claude already connects to Shopify, Gmail, Slack, and Google Drive, so many merchants run their daily operations through it. Returns data is the missing piece. Without a connector, teams still have to open the portal, find the return, and copy details into customer replies or reports by hand. A connector would make it possible to ask questions like: “What’s the status of the return on order #1234?” “Which returns from last week haven’t been refunded yet?” “What are the top return reasons this month?” “Which SKUs have the highest return rate?” Why it should be added: Faster customer service. “Where’s my refund?” emails could be answered in seconds using live return data. Fewer errors. Order numbers, tracking, and refund amounts would come straight from AfterShip instead of being copied manually. More accessible reporting. Small teams without a dedicated analyst could get insight from return data in plain language. A connected workflow. Returns would link up with the order, email, and team tools merchants already use with Claude. Keeps AfterShip central. As more operations move through AI assistants, the platforms that connect to them become the ones merchants depend on. Read-only access would be a strong starting point: return lookups, statuses, reasons, and refund/exchange outcomes. Actions like approving or rejecting requests could follow later, with confirmation steps built in.

Hello,   This is Nailin from Harman. We need to have the option to ‘Save’ the filters & layout on the AfterShip Tracking dashboards / Orders. this function is available in Shipments section but not on Orders. but it is equally important for us to check both dashboards regularly. therefore saved view would be more than important to have.  Thank you! Regards, Nailin

Tracking by Account Number

Chris Nichols
November 6, 2024 at 10:34 pm
As a user, I'd like the ability to pull in tracking numbers to my dashboard by parcel account number so that I can view all shipments assigned to a specific or multiple parcel accounts.   For example I have 10 parcel accounts (4 with DHL and 6 with FedEx). I'd like the ability to utilize the parcel account number(s) instead of the API to pull in tracking associated with my parcel accounts.

Perhaps AI can help me select videos to showcase?

Ella Green
July 1, 2024 at 9:30 pm
The same videos are displayed to shoppers on my collection page or recommendation widgets. I want greater exposure to alternative products and videos, but selecting which ones to display and updating them regularly feels overwhelming.   Furthermore, testing to determine which video garners the most traffic is even more challenging. I have no idea if my efforts will result in sales. If only there is a tool could help!

Tracking dynamic updates for Emails

Sophia Anderson
March 8, 2024 at 3:29 pm
I guess for shipping emails sent out to my customers, it would be nice to have dynamic info that updates as the package progresses through the network. I also want all my existing emails to stay current.   The reason is simply that I wanna give my customers a unified experience by delivering consistent messages to them. I believe this will help with my customer satisfaction.

Warranty Add-On Feedback

Cindy Rodriguez
November 7, 2024 at 12:36 am
Hi there,    We’re planning to fully transition to your warranty return platform and would like to see the following improvements: * Dynamic Reference Lines on Return Shipping Labels: We’d like the option to add customizable reference lines on shipping labels. While there are default placeholders available, we need a more flexible solution to include internal notes that will help us organize returns efficiently. * Delayed Replacement Order Processing: We’d prefer the ability to process a replacement order without sending it to Shopify until the carrier marks the warranty return as “en route.” * Regex Validation for Warranty Intake Form: Adding regex validation would help us ensure inputs follow specific formats, such as order numbers or serial numbers, for better accuracy.

Create a flow for Weather Holds on wine

Sarah Swindell
March 13, 2025 at 8:32 pm
Hi there, We ship wine, which means orders are often held by our fulfilment center when temperatures along the route are above or below certian threshold we have set. I would like to create a flow that automatically notifies the customer that their order has been flagged for a weather hold and ensures them it is still on the way. Is this possible? Thanks

Email Updates Box - Complaints from Customers

Victoria Lomax
October 30, 2026 at 10:21 am
Hi,   We have AfterShip built into our BigCommerce store by default. I'm not sure who to reach out to, so I would appreciate if you could please direct this to the appropriate department for me. We have received several customer complaints that when they check their shipment tracking information, they are finding the information in the orange box in the attachment misleading. Basically, where there is an option to enter your email address for delivery updates, next to it, it shows examples such as out for delivery, delivered. A lot of customers have seen this and genuinely thought that is the tracking information. More so on mobile devices, where the screen is smaller, so unless they scroll, the actual tracking is not visible. They’ve then contacted us, as their order has not been delivered and then complained that the information is confusing. Is it possible to redesign this to ensure it’s less misleading, even if it's just really boring and is a box to enter the email?   I appreciate you taking the time to consider this. Happy to assist if you need any further information. Kind regards, Vicky
